Emergency Lighting

Our Electricians are fully NICEIC trained and approved installers of emergency lighting. We can maintain and repair current emergency lighting installations for commercial properties, offices, retail outlets and communal areas in residential blocks/apartments, as well as the design and installation of new emergency lighting systems plus upgrades to existing systems.

We offer annual emergency lighting service packages which offer on-hand expertise, cost savings and peace of mind.

Emergency Lighting to your requirements

The primary function of emergency lighting is to provide sufficient illumination for people exiting a building in the event of an emergency. It is vital that emergency lighting comes on if the normal lighting fails.

We are fully cognisant of the requirements and recommendations of Emergency Lighting Code BS5266 and have years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Emergency Lighting in both small and large commercial premises.

Emergency Lighting to suit your requirements

Their are two main types of Emergency Lighting Systems available, please call to discuss your requirements

NON-MAINTAINED EMERGENCY LIGHTING Emergency exit routes need to be illuminated in the event of a power failure. Non-maintained emergency lighting is designed to turn on at the point of a power cut to minimise the commotion that can be caused if a premise suddenly finds itself in darkness due to a power outage. Non-maintained emergency lighting is connected to the premises’ lighting circuitry and is mainly used in offices and factories where staff are likely to be familiar with the locations of the emergency exits.

MAINTAINED EMERGENCY LIGHTING A great advantage of maintained emergency lighting is that it is permanently illuminated at a low level. This is especially useful for patrons to be able to see the exit routes in darkened arenas such as cinemas, discos and theatres and many other commercial uses.
